Color: light garnet with orange reflections. Rich tears. Nose: open, smoky, animal, with tertiary notes and crème brûlée. Sweet spices, leather and a menthol note. Palate: very ripe black and red fruit, such as plum, very expressive acidity, smooth. A slight elegant bitterness, herbaceous (garrigue), fig and a touch of caramel. Fine-grained, supple tannins. Pairing: caramelised pork belly. Comment: a very attractive wine, elegant and full of character. Easy to drink. Cellaring 4–6 years.
