Champagne Lemaire Père et Fils
Color: clear and bright. Nose: fresh, with white flowers (lily), young red fruit, grilled fruit such as apple, and a light note of almond paste. Palate: round and generous attack, smoky aromas, toasted hazelnut and baked apple. Fresh, with lovely complexity and attractive fruit. Salinity on the finish. Pairing: chicken skewer with Asian sauce; sushi. Comment: a generous, gastronomic Champagne, a real favourite, with lots of complexity. Cellaring 5 years.
