— La Grande Dame 2018 —

La Grande Dame 2018 pays a vibrant tribute to Pinot Noir, Madame Clicquot’s emblematic grape variety. As early as the 1820s, she recognized its potential, describing it as “the only one capable of producing wines with incomparable finesse and freshness”.

This 25th vintage is the embodiment of that vision, crafted from a blend of 90% Pinot Noir sourced from prestigious crus on the Montagne de Reims, and 10% Chardonnay, which brings balance and elegance.

La Grande Dame expresses the full subtlety of a northern terroir with chalky soils, revealing beautiful mineral tension, refreshing acidity, and aromatic depth. This new vintage also introduces a modern and purposeful visual identity. The packaging proudly features the inscription The Art of Pinot Noir, a nod to the House’s historical attachment to this noble variety. The gift box is eco-designed, made of 60% hemp paper, and displays Veuve Clicquot’s iconic yellow. Each case can also be personalized with a ribbon bearing a name or message, making it a truly refined and unique gift.

Tastin review

Color: a beautiful, slightly golden hue. Bright, limpid, with a persistent stream of fine bubbles.
Nose: fresh and captivating, with delicate notes of bergamot, lime, and yuzu, lifted by hints of white-fleshed fruits and exquisite aromas of white flowers such as honeysuckle and acacia.
Palate: the palate delights with its subtle, silky texture, revealing the finest expressions of Pinot Noir—refined yet powerful. The finish is deliciously long.
Pairing: perfect with roasted langoustines, lime foam, and caviar.
