Color: deep ruby with garnet highlights. Nose: complex, with black cherry, Morello cherry, raspberry, violet, peony, sweet spices and undergrowth. A delicate noble reduction appears on opening. Palate: broad and harmonious. Silky, dense and energetic on the attack. The tannins are present yet beautifully coated. The finish is long and deep, with dark fruits, liquorice and delicate stony, smoky nuances. Comment: the balance rests on ripe fruit, a spicy backbone and beautiful freshness.
