Color: purple with a brilliant rim. Nose: very intense, distinguished and smoky, marked by oak ageing. Beautiful notes of leather, coffee, white pepper and matchbox. Good balance. Palate: clean, rich attack. Black fruit and pepper notes, while retaining its animal character. Caramel and vanilla notes, oak and bitterness. Fairly pronounced tannic structure. Pairing: roasted pigeon, foie gras sauce and Swiss chard gratin. Comment: a powerful wine that needs time. Cellaring 5 years.
