Color: bright old gold, clear. Nose: fairly discreet at first, then developing nicely on yellow fruit. Fine, elegant, with a honeyed note. Palate: fine, rich, with good presence. Supple attack, fruit-driven. Fairly straight. Persistent finish, with good length, still very fruity. Pairing: eel matelote; chicken fillet with chive cream. Comment: a lovely indulgent wine that drinks very well now but can still age for 3-4 years.
