Color: intense ruby. Nose: discreet first nose, but opens with subtle notes of spices, dark berries, clove, bay leaf, vanilla, and cocoa. Palate: rich and powerful with superb savory depth. Dense and open, warm style, firm tannins. Persistent finish with a retro-olfaction of vanilla and intense dark fruits. Pairing: duck with cherries. Comment: excellent.
