Visual aspect: a dark garnet-red hue with purple tinges. Nose: marvellous concentration and intensity on aromas of blackcurrant liqueur, full maturity and delicate woodiness. Palate: full-bodied, concentrated, with sweetness and richness, especially in the very pleasantly-melted tannins. A gorgeous finish. Match with food: braised oxtail, duck breast with cherries. Comments: a superb wine, that is ready to enjoy now. Serve directly without decanting.
