Located in the heart of the village of Villers-Marmery, the family-run Champagne Boutillez-Marchand has been perpetuating a unique savoir-faire since 1960, passed down from generation to generation. Founded by Robert Boutillez, it was born from his passion for the vine and his deep attachment to this singular terroir, renowned for the exceptional quality of its Chardonnay. Over the decades, the house has evolved while preserving its artisanal soul.
Today, a new chapter begins with the launch of Écrin Collection, a 100% Pinot Noir cuvée. Crafted from the 2021 and 2022 harvests, this single-parcel Champagne comes from the lieu-dit Les Béguines. With a dosage of 6 g/l, it is patiently vinified and aged for 11 months in oak barrels sourced from the Montagne de Reims forest (designated a “Forêt d’Exception”), which imparts aromatic complexity, roundness, and depth to the wine.
Écrin Collection combines the power of the black grape variety with the refined elegance of oak ageing and the mineral freshness typical of its terroir. This confidential cuvée offers a new interpretation of Champagne Pinot Noir : structured, precise, and crafted both for gastronomy and cellaring.
True to the spirit of 1960 and following in her father’s footsteps, Marion Boutillez continues to write the family story with passion, humility, and deep respect for the Villers-Marmery terroir.
