The Grallet Dupic distillery launches a new Single Malt “Fumé Collection”, 46° proof, 20 ppm, 70 cl, brown individual case hemmed with hot foil stamping.
A family passion for the best whisky
The Grallet-Dupic distillery, located in France, in Lorraine, in the steep village of Rozelieures, is a top place of the production of spirits in France. In the middle of a cereal and arboricultural farm of 300 ha, in front of the Essey la Côte volcano. For their whiskies, Hubert Grallet and Christophe Dupic use moutain water from the Vosges springs drawn from the water tables. Although the volcano is now extinct we can still find basalt rocks ejected by the volcano about 27 million years ago. Just like these two natural assets (the purity of the water and the wealth of the earth), their whisky from Lorraine allies sweetness and character, for a distinctive but soft and round alcohol like the Vosges mountains.
At the distillery, the ageing of the whiskeys is undertaken, after 2 distillations, in 3 complementary cellars with very different climates among which an attic, a vaulted cellar in an old sheep pen and a former military fort disused since 1870: maybe the secret of the crafting of Rozelieures.

A new single malt “Fumé collection”, a jewel made in Rozelieures
The whiskey Single Malt G. Rozelieures “Fumé Collection” comes from 100% Sherry Fino barrels, stemming from the selection of the best barrels of sherry of the distillery.
It has a deep, quite dark colour. Its nose is delicate, smoked, with notes of almond and honey. The palate, without aggressiveness, reveals roasted, smoked aromas, fatness, with a point of liquorice. It is peated in 20 ppm of phenol. The peat is thus well-balanced and perfectly supports the aromas of this grand whisky. The finish is broad and long.
It is better to serve it at ambient temperature without ice. It can be enjoyed before or after the meal. On table it will also match a pan-fried foie gras or scallops delicately cooked in olive oil.
