Color: Burlat cherry hue with violet reflections. Nose: red and black fruit (cassis), vanilla, coffee and rose. Beautiful complexity. Oak ageing is present but light. Palate: clean, supple and tangy attack. Peppery and menthol notes, with the fruit still present. Well-integrated tannins. Powerful and generous finish with long bitterness. Interesting length. Pairing: Mara des Bois strawberry tart with buckwheat shortcrust pastry. Comment: good balance between power and freshness. Cellaring 5 years.
