The story of Maison Marguerite Guyot has its roots in a family tradition deeply intertwined with the world of spirits. In 1857, Jean-Marie Guyot created the Arquebuse de l’Hermitage, a recipe blending 33 plants renowned for their medicinal virtues. In the 1970s, his sons Bernard and Jean Guyot reinvented this heritage, introducing it into the realms of gastronomy and mixology.
Immersed from childhood in this sensory world—between tastings held in the historic Malleval cellars dating back to the 12th century in Lyon and encounters with fine wines—Florence Guyot soon realized that her future lay along the family path. After gaining solid professional experience in Champagne, she decided in 2012 to found her own house, supported by a Champagne producer who shared her values. To honour the family passion and the craft she holds dear, Florence named the house after her grandmother: Marguerite Guyot.
For Florence, each cuvée is “a crescendo of flavours and emotions built around a poetic story born from the heart”. Here, the typicity of each grape variety is expressed to the fullest. The wines are aged for many years in the cellar, developing delicate and elegant aromas. Marguerite Guyot champagnes offer a saline, mineral finish with gourmet notes of fruit, flowers and citrus, evoking the harvest season when grapes are bitten into at perfect ripeness.
Champagne Marguerite Guyot embodies a moment of sharing: a cuvée for every occasion, designed to pair harmoniously with authentic dishes, including world cuisines.
