Color: copper-orange, pink reflections, brilliant. Nose: apple jelly, prune, redcurrant, almond, boxwood, rose, white pepper. Nice roundness. Palate: vivid and fresh attack. Acacia honey, almond, prune, floral. Tart and lively, with citrus, raspberry, lychee, cherry, apricot. Balanced with lovely length. Finish on woody hints, cherry pit. Pairing: candied kumquat, shredded duck. Comment: beautifully complex and aromatic—an excellent discovery.
