Nose: pure, powerful on a hint of vanilla and some toasted, spicy and delicately woody aromas. Marvellous complexity, accompanied by scents of ripe black fruit.
Palate: the first taste is smooth. The substance is consistent and plump tannins give this wine excellent balance.
Match with food: rack of lamb covered in a crust of spices saddle of lamb stuffed with kidneys Guinea goose fried Morel mushrooms.
