For the location of this event, ‘Sommeliers International’ and the team of Hong Kong sommeliers chose the Causeway Bay Harbour View Hotel, on King’s Road in Hong Kong. Along with sixty professionals, importers and local customers, they were able to discover a wide selection of excellent French products. They tasted no less than 14 different Champagnes and 46 wines (of which 32 from Bordeaux and 5 from the South-West of France). They were also able to taste a collection of spirits which included 13 Cognacs, 5 Armagnacs and 6 Pineaux.
Master of Ceremonies for this tasting, Mr Nelson Chow is a graduate of the University of Southern Australia. Also a ‘Sopexa Chevalier of French Gastronomy’ and ‘Commandeur’ of the Bontemps Wine Brotherhood, Mr Chow fully asserts his 20 years of wine appreciation and tuition. And, to finish, he is certified Bordeaux Trainer by CIVB.
