The greatest vineyards and spirits gathered in Bordeaux

On May 9th, SOMMELIERS INTERNATIONAL organized a tasting gathering numerous French wines but also spirits. At Pullman Bordeaux, Paolo Basso, Best Sommelier of the World, but also the sommeliers of the Association of Bordeaux-Aquitaine, wine merchants and restaurateurs, welcomed about fifty wine growers who came to present their cuvées.

About the wines, 280 products to discover

The sommeliers could appreciate the presence of the greatest vineyards of France: Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Languedoc-Roussillon, Provence, through a selection of remarkable cuvées. An exhaustive panorama whose quality and diversity Pascal Loridon, communication director of Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne, underlined.

About the spirits, 32 quality reference

Armagnac and Bas-Armagnacs, Cognacs, rums, whiskeys, liqueurs, brandies and gins came to demonstrate the gustative richness offered by exceptional vintages, while enabling the sommeliers to broaden their knowledge about top of the range mixology. Just like Leagh Barkley, sommelier and mixologist, member of the Association of the Sommeliers of Bordeaux-Aquitaine, who underlines the possibility of exchanges between producers and influencers during these meetings is a real advantage for the professionals.
 

Cristal de Sèvre

Created in 1750, on Madame de Pompadour’s initiative, the elegance of Cristal de Sèvre and its luxurious glasses managed to conquer the lovers of culinary art with exceptional objects. For the tasting, Jean-Pierre Deval and Isabelle Laborie highlighted the Toujours range, elegant and enabling an optimum sensory analysis.

Foies Gras Biers 

Once again Pierre Talbot tickled the palates with his luxury foies gras. He presented the Whole Duck Foie Gras sublimated with Timut Katmandou-Nepal rare pepper or the Authentic Recipe of 1908 of Grand Café Castel Villeneuve sur Lot, who met unanimous success with the wine growers and the sommeliers.

Sopardis
