On last March 26th, the twelve finalists of the 10th G.H.Mumm Trophy came to Reims from Biarritz, Marseille, Guyancourt, La Rochelle, or Illkirch, with their teachers, to try and win in the bar or sommellerie category. To acclaim them, give them advise, decide between them, they could count on great personalities of the profession like Philippe Faure-Brac, World's Best Sommelier, Yves Chapier, president of the Association of Sommeliers of Champagne-Ardenne...

At the same time torture place and anteroom of glory, the lounges of the Hotel Baltimore in Paris have once again hosted the selection tests for a great professional contest, namely that of France’s Best Sommelier. Twenty-five candidates took up the challenge proposed by the UDSF* and faced the tests imagined by the technical committee headed by Christian Pechoutre, its director.
