Property of the Van Doren family since three generations, Domaine de l’Anglade is the only wine estate located at the heart of Le Lavandou. Surrounded with pines and Provence reeds the 40 hectares out of which 18 ha of vines are integrated in a haven of greenery on the seaside. Like in music Bernard Van Doren, the current owner and CEO of the Vandoren company, approaches the wine in a visionary and forerunner way to stay the course of the difference.
Located in an extraordinary geographical area, Domaine de l’Anglade decided to work with the Maures PGI in order to be free to vinify grape varieties like Merlot or Viognier. The wines of the estate all meet the Van Doren family’s requirements of excellence. Each cuvee is the fruit of careful plot selection. The 18 ha of vines are maintained traditionally, without weed killers nor chemical fertilizers.
The biodiversity, the living soil and the defense against erosion are favoured thanks to temporary grass cover. The grapes are picked in the freshness of the early morning, by hand to keep the berries entire until they arrive at the winery. Each plot of land is vinified separately then a delicate work of blending gives birth to 6 cuvees with unique character.
