Arvid Rosengren, David Liorit et Aris Allouche

The Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Château Petit Val represented by operations manager David Liorit crossed the ocean to go and meet American wine professionals in New York, USA to present its wines Petit Val and Muse du Val. The wine tour organized by Allwines included a dinner at Lafayette New York with wine shop managers, sommeliers and restaurateurs on Sunday, February 18th. Then a presentation on February 19th at 1-Michelin start restaurant Le Batard in front of 60 American professionals among who distributors, importers, sommelier and wine shop managers. This tour ended with an exclusive encounter and provate tasting with Best Sommelier of the World Arvid Rosengren within his new project Legacy Records. Châetau Petit Val’s wines met an interested success with the different professionals.

The sommeliers’ impression

Château Petit Val 2014, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Beautiful robe, deep ruby-red colour, brilliant, translucent. Rich, elegant, classy nose, with aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, bilberry); concentrated, ripe, with scents of coffee, mocha, slightly toasty spices, woody. Fleshy, racy, powerful palate, with notes of liquorice, ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, bilberry), underlined by explosive and generous tannins. Dense and broad finish with a remarkable length. A dense and powerful wine by its youth. Will reveal a high grade wine within a few years.

Petit Val in Miami

For the first time, Château Petit Val Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, managed by David Liorit, crossed the ocean to go to Miami, USA to promote their range of wines.

The goal was to present the wines to renowned professionals to get in touch with them, discover the potential of the range in Florida but also get the opinion of the American consumers.

On the initiative of Allwines, helped by Sébastien Verrier (wine consultant for big establishments in Florida and importer of French wines), made-to-measure encounters have been organized on last July 16, 17 and 18 especially for Château Petit Val to present their different cuvées.

We started the tour with a lunch organized at Hotel SLS’s Bazaar restaurant with a menu especially prepared by starred chef José Andrés. Before some twenty sommeliers, journalists, bloggers, importers and distributors, David Liorit could present Château Petit Val 2014, 2015, 2016, as well as Muse du Val 2014, 2015 and 2016, and Rose de Val 2016.

We were also glad to welcome Olivier Caste (Optiwine) who could also present his products and propose a comparative tasting of Petit Val’s range with and without Optiwine, the pocket decanter.

The guests appreciated a lot this tasting and Petit Val’s wines met great success. To such an extent – it will no longer be a secret – that the whole range will be available from the end of this year in Florida!

On the same evening, another presentation was organized at Brava of the Ziff Ballet Opera House with wine lovers, collectors and professionals, some hundred people who have come for a wine Tour de France and taste in exclusivity the wines of Petit Val. Once again, what a success!

A trip that provide a wealth of discoveries, encounters and that we hope will meet Château Petit Val’s expectations.
