Located in the heart of the Champagne vineyard, with its head offices in Epernay and a secondary warehouse in the Aube department, Géraudel has built its fame thanks to products combining quality and innovation, but also thanks to the dynamism of its team for whom satisfaction and customer care are no empty words!
Cork: the future traditional cork
In 2011, Géraudel associates with a great name of the cork business, Socori, subsidiary of the French Bourrassé. The Géraudel cork is an exceptional industry, completely integrated and non-reproducible, from the tree to the delivery to the customer, and that definitely includes the traditional 2-disk agglomerated cork in the future.
Indeed a series of preventive and curative measures has been implemented all along the manufacturing process: it enables to guarantee exceptional organoleptic performances of the Géraudel cork, with cork disks whose level of TCA does not exceed 0,5 ng/l (same level than the best substitute for cork). The analysis of TCA on the disks and granules are fulfilled by an independant external laboratory; the organoleptic controls are undertaken internally.
The wire cap: innovating printing process FastQuadri
French distributor of SABAT, Géraudel has regularly competed on the Champagne wire cap market with innovations: 100% orientation of the plate, duplex printing and customization from small quantities.
Now the company goes even further with the FastQuadri printing: ultra-customized (picture, drawing, text,...) wire caps in CMYK colours as from 60 copies. Thus it is now possible to make as much different plates as plates produced: 60 different pictures for an order of 60 copies for example.
The carton: high speed digital printing
This activity, the most recent, started with a positioning between offset and standard flexo process: HD flexo. It is one of Géraudel’s creations that has been awarded the 2012 Flexostar d’Or prize. Just recently the company proposes Digital High Speed printing. In theory this process enables to customize the cartons as from one copy; without plate costs, it opens the way to boundless creativity (pictures, drawings, …), on part of or the entire carton.
The bottle
The historical activity of the company, the recycling of Champagne bottles, continues. Géraudel collects bottles stemming from transfers to wash them and market them again for Champagne, but also for sparkling wines and cider. Also it sells new bottles (standard and special Champagne bottles) in partnership with a French glassmaker.
