Association for the Promotion of the Champagne - Côte des Bar Vineyard

THE CHAMPAGNE ROAD FESTIVAL!

The Champagne Road Festival is created in 1996 on the initiative of the Association for the Promotion of the Champagne Vineyard (APVC).

Concept imagined by the winegrowers, the event consists every year in the animation of several villages of the same sector. A Champagne glass is the passport to taste in the cellars open on the Champagne Road. It allows its owner to discover the richness of the terroir and to share with the winegrowers their know-how and passion.

CHAMPAGNE AND COTE DES BAR:
the Pinot Noir is king

The Aube department hosts the most Southern territory of the Champagne vineyard. Around Bar sur Seine, 40km South-East from Troyes, the vineyard of the Côte des Bars stretches (8,000 hectares of vines, i.e. the fifth of the Champagne appellation surface area).
The Champagne is made by makers-vintners (on the estate) or by winegrowers gathered in cooperatives.
Prestigious Champagne terroir, the Côte des Bar, last jewel of the viticultural Champagne, near Burgundy, assumes a quarter of the production of the Champagne appellation region.

In more than 50 classified villages, 500 vintners made our region the land of Pinot Noir. A marked out tour links all the villages of the vineyard and enables to visit some thirty cellars all year long.
