Burgundy wines in pocket size

It is hardly possible to approach the opera or painting without knowing some vocabulary and certain benchmarks to get pleasure... Of this reflection was born the idea to create a collection of thematic, quick, compact, and concise guides, dedicated to wine-producing regions.
The purpose of these books is to give the major notions in 40 index cards, in a pocket format, to guide, assist, and initiate the consumer - amateur and wine lover - to the pleasures of wine tasting.
Thanks to its original pocket-sized format which spreads out like the palette of a colour chart, this real source of information is easy to consult in any situation: at table with friends, when purchasing wine at a wine-cellar, during tasting, etc....
In the beginning of the booklet, through detailed mapping, you can access localization of the villages, of the various appellations by a color code. Zooming allows visualizing and recognizing the different varietals of the vineyards. The reverse side of the cards reveals the rich aromatic palette of Burgundy wines and examples of appellations that bear the imprint of the terroir and its personality. More than ten cards dedicated to the three steps of tasting will allow you to gain knowledge of essential gestures and of the way to express your emotions created by the wines, with simple and precise words.
These wonderful small guides are elaborated in partnership with the interprofessions and updated regularly. They are available in French, English, Japanese, and soon in Chinese.
Burgundy is in its third edition; the Beaujolais region comes out at the end of 2011; Champagne, Côtes du Rhône, and Bordeaux are under investigation.Dominique Peyral-Bon
